What do you think of this year's Countdown?

  The movie, ''Hollow Man'', was on Ch 5 until 11:55pm, when Ch 5 switched the focus to the celebrations going on at Mt Faber. It was a short countdown this year, compared to previous years.
  
  How did you feel about it? Would you have preferred a proper Countdown program to be broadcast?
  
  Did you like the fireworks that went on for 15 mins?

  Does this mean that nobody bothered to watch it?
  
  The TV was on in my friend's house and we all expected more but was disappointed.
  
  I started the New Year in a great way too... free CHOYA cocktails!

  the fireworks are nice... maybe cos we got quite a good view this year...
  dunno abt the tv programmes and so on... cos we were not at home.... even thou we were at esplanade, we din bother to watch whatever countdown shows that were good... had to go chop good seats early early....

  i think he meant he was playing the Dota game then suddenly heard the sound of the fireworks.

  I think for a countdown they should have a projected countdown time on a big building or wall that everyone can see. More fun that way. Just like the dropping light ball in NY Time Sq.
  
  BTW, from my place at Telok Blangah Dr, we could see 5 fireworks: Sentosa, Harbourfront, Seah Im CP, Mt Faber and Esplanade from far. Those 3 around harbourfront were long but less impact cos they were mostly small fireworks. Esplanade fireworks are still the best.

  This year's Countdown seems so lacklustre, going by the feedback in here!
  
  My mom's classic... when asked, she simply muttered, ''What countdown?! I was asleep!''
