i always re-use my CNY clothes, because i only wear them once a year.

Anytime during the year, see nice clothes that fit, BUY! Then, if they still haven't been worn by the time CNY rolls around, it becomes my CNY clothes!

Oh, I remember I was in a boutique in Holland Rd Shopping Ctr when I heard a little girl yell out to her mom, ''Mommy! Mommy!! I want thiiiiiis dress! It's like a 'Da Chang Jing' one!!''
I turned around to see a very enthusiastic little girl pointing to a dress hanging on the display - a cute pink and white Korean dress, 'just like 'Da Chang Jing'! -

when you're younger CNY was something to look forward to .... nice clothes, fireworks, great food etc ...
but as you get older, you simply bo chap liao ....
it's just another holiday, with some dreary family meals to go to at various places, a few rounds of cards, making small talk with relatives who only seem interested in comparing assorted cousin's results and my marital status .....
I haven't celebrated CNY for a few years now and frankly I don't miss it ... -
