Metrosexual (along with the concept, metrosexuality) is a term coined in 1994 in an article in the The Independent by British journalist Mark Simpson, shortly after the publication of his book about contemporary masculine identity Male Impersonators: Men Performing Masculinity.
The metrosexual ...is an urban male of any sexual orientation who has a strong aesthetic sense and spends a great deal of time and money on his appearance and lifestyle.
The metrosexual loves what he would like to be, or in other words, what he sees in magazines and advertising.
The concept of masculinity has changed over history. Changes in culture and attitudes toward the male body have changed the meaning of masculinity. Metrosexuals made their appearance after cultural changes in the environment and changes in views on masculinity.
In some circles, however, metrosexual is used to refer to a closeted gay man. ''
Men who are upheld as Metrosexual Icons include David Beckham, Brad Pitt and George Clooney. I guess the Asian equivalents would probably be boyband groups like F5, and the famous Korean actor, Bae Yong Jun.
What are your thoughts about Metrosexuals?
If you're male, are you a Metrosexual? Why so or why not? Where would you draw the line?
If you're female, would you accept a Metrosexual as your boyfriend? -

- moisturises more than you bother to;
- has more bottles of perfume than you do;
- is vainer than you, in general; and
- is in love with his own reflection so much that he can't tear his eyes off his image in the mirror / glass.

Shiseido, and i am using pink too, coz my skin is fair and i need light colours, so that i will look good and not too 'glaring' for the presentation tml
