No problem. It's the thought that counts.Originally posted by Rhonda:Hmm... so tempted to organise a museum outing...
Yo, av98m, would you turn up if there was one?
Fatum, MG, wish I could ask you guys the same question but too bad you're both far yonder the oceans.
Orh... sorry, I seldom step out of Club 30 cause it used to be that by the time I finished reading everyone's post, I'm tired liao!Originally posted by Meia Gisborn:

Have you seen the doctor yet?
I was told by a doc that the proper way to treat a sprain - use ice on the area for the first 2-3 days to stop the swelling. After that, use hot packs in the same area to promote faster blood circulation and thus, healing.
Eh! Like that we can organise an outing to Sentosa to explore the places of interest there as well as make it a photography outing as well?Originally posted by av98m:Museum? Which one? Actually hor, while I do enjoy reading about history, museums are not really my thing. I'd rather go hang out at fort siloso or some other place of historical interest.
Best to wear an ankle guard when you move about.Originally posted by Fatum:I rubbed some deep heat on it ...
and I've been on my ass all day .... it should be okie tomorrow ...

or instead of going around to these tourist traps, ... maybe you can organise an outing to "old Singapore" ? ...Originally posted by Rhonda:Eh! Like that we can organise an outing to Sentosa to explore the places of interest there as well as make it a photography outing as well?
Afterall, I've got tons of days off and my last day is actually on the 25th.

You'll probably be a more frequent visitor to the SO forum once you've hightailed it out of Singapore.Originally posted by Rhonda:Orh... sorry, I seldom step out of Club 30 cause it used to be that by the time I finished reading everyone's post, I'm tired liao!
Nowadays, sadly, there's so little activity in here. I wonder why.
Can also, we can take a long walk and just stop for food and drinks. Bring just one camera with a fixed lens and black and white film! (for the dinosaurs like me with no digital)Originally posted by Fatum:or instead of going around to these tourist traps, ... maybe you can organise an outing to "old Singapore" ? ...
you know ... places like little india, sungei road, the clarke quay shophouses etc ...
before they all get a going over like china town eh ...
For me I've more or less confined myself to club30 because its a pretty flame free environment that the usual clowns do not visit! Look at how long ago I registered and its only after dropping in here that I've started to post with any regularity.Originally posted by Rhonda:Orh... sorry, I seldom step out of Club 30 cause it used to be that by the time I finished reading everyone's post, I'm tired liao!

Nope, even after Project Migration has been completed, I'll still come in here cuz this is where my friends are.Originally posted by Meia Gisborn:You'll probably be a more frequent visitor to the SO forum once you've hightailed it out of Singapore.
I concur that the activitly level in this forum has dwindled of late. Perhaps the new year brings with it new responsibilities for many of the regular participants, who might then not have as much time as before to post here.

Awwww... still tonight, before you reach home, visit a clinic and get some meds. If Panadol doesn't bring that fever down, Ibuprofen might help. However, do let the doc check why you're running a fever now... could it be some sorta infection that your body is trying to fight? A flu infection, perhaps?Originally posted by elindra:Ok some life. Was talking to boss so logged off.
I wanna go home though. Down with fever. Wouldn't have gone for work if not coz we have VIPS coming down

Given the choice between food and photography, it's a foregone conclusion which one a Singaporean will choose. [/b]

we were trawling the phonebook for a new joint, when an "special combo" caught our eyes ... Chicken fried rice, stir-fried veggies, spicy szechuan beef, and dry ribs for only C$7.95 !!! ....
an ang moh friend of mine dialled the number and ordered for the three of us ... and along came three HUGE styrofoam packets filled with a monster mound of fried rice surrounded by three mounds of veggies, beef, and ribs ..... none of us could finish it all in one sitting ... there were so much of it ... we even got fortune cookies ! ...
so I spread the word ... one Chinese chap ordered the same today ... but speaking to them in mandarin .... to his chargrin, he got only a dinky little box half my size .... with downsized servings of everything ... no fortune cookies either ... so he gave a call back to them ... and was told that what he got was an asian sized serving ! ...
