To be fair, not all female-dominated work places are like that My previous job in Singapore was good, we all understood each other & worked well together We are still in contact with each other to this very day.Originally posted by Rhonda:
Try working in a female-dominated workplace!
It's hell, I tell ya!!! It's sheer torture on earth!! Imagine all the PMS and menopause and perimenopause and pregnancy hormones... all raging in one hot cauldron!
Explosive, I tell yer! Extremely detrimental to one's overall health and well-being!

kids crying cos there was an argument/fight
kids arguing cos they both want the same toy
a billion kids trying to ask you a question
and ALL want your attention at the same time
the kettle is boiling, the phone is ringing
and one kid pulling your shirt cos she's got a stomachache
and need medicated oil NOW
or possibly a small cut, and need plaster NOW
and suddenly you hear another two kids shouting
asking the rest to SHUT UP cos its too loud
and all the rest responding by shouting back "YOU SHUT UP YOURSELF LAHHHHHH"
All this happening at the same time.
typewriter, modem, office noise? Blah Blah.

Oh I forgot to add, besides all the noise pollution, you need to keep one eye on the kid talking to you (cos it is really important to them), and another eye swerving around like mad-eye moody to catch them doing possibly dangerous terrorist acts like trying to poke their friends' eyes out with mechanical pencils, slamming each other in the head with their school bags, and etc...Originally posted by I_am_PeTe_Parker:oh my gosh...what is the working hours like!!!
Ya deadlines can kill. Prev job was graphic designer so ... deadlines are.. lines that you DIE if u cross over them. Once during a particularly stressful period, my eyesight just deteriorated from too much moniter staring. *snort* that's why I left the job... don't see the point of life when living is sitting in front of the same bloody moniter, looking at the same bloody software, from job to job and the differences between the lines and the colours start to blur after a while....Originally posted by DailyFreeGames.com:My number 1 stress still the deadline... .
That is so true.. first thing I learn working with my 8 year olds are that ... strangely they remind of of ADULTS I know. The way they handle things, the things they say. And I realise we never really grow up. We just hide ourselves better.Originally posted by the Bear:however, i work with grown-up children.. they're infinitely more evil and terrible... we usually call them "Senior Management"
Eh... and what do you do to yourself that's so stress-inducing?Originally posted by breytonhartge:Myself...
