Collection of Radio and TV tax?

  Wonder why we still need to pay radio and TV Tax?
  
  We pay for our own cable lines into our unit. Pay SCV for the cable content.
  Furthermore the media companys are make tons of money from advers and sponsors. Why MDA still need to collect the tax? Funding who, the regulators?

  They fund local media scene, be it MediaCorp or Arts Festival...
