(But kinda dangerous, cause will usually end up buying stuff you don't need during sales too!

Orh... one more suggestion... apply for a POSB 'Save As You Earn' account. That way, every month, a predetermined amount is deducted from your earnings as savings in that account.
If you have lotsa lotsa money, you can shop around for the bank that offers the highest interest rates on Fixed Deposits. Or, if you're financially saavy, you can invest and watch your money make more money! -
