Ohhh...I love the Silent Hill series of video games. Used to play them with all the lights off....found them much scarier than any horror movie.Originally posted by Ito_^:big screens with frens la.. alone abit bo liao, scare ownself alone for nothing.

Aiyoh!!Originally posted by elindra:I freak myself out with my imagination more than the movie itself. Movies that I cannot connect with doesn't scare me.
You know way out stuff like The Ring with the ghost crawling out of the TV set.
However movies like Shutter and The Eye freaked the hell out of me. Up till now I have to bring myself to watch The Maid. (Rhonda it's all your fault. You're supposed to watch it with me and Chris refuses to watch any movie of 'Horror' genre with me)
Fatum, I don't like folks who go to the cinema to watch horror movies and then laugh like mad hyenas! Sorry, but some of us actually WANT to be scared and that just ruins the atmosphere for us.Originally posted by Fatum:I remember the time when I watched the Thai movie "Nang Nak" with a bunch of friends ....
somehow it ended up being so funny to us ... we were laughing so hard ... that the rest of the cinema got infected as well and started laughing along with us ! ...

I know some people laugh when they're scared though!
But I was angry when folks laughed during Ju-On... I mean, I was enjoying it, it was pretty scary, and then it was all ruined by ... you know who!!

Erm... I guess we can buy / rent it and watch it at your place when Chris is on night shift! Like that, can?
I think 'The Maid' is going to be pretty scary for you since you're quite dan2 xiao3 one! Quite a coward!
I don't think it's horrorOriginally posted by Fatum:anyone thinks "the saw" is a horror movie ? ...
Err... just gross and violent. I wouldn't said that it's a horror movie.Originally posted by Fatum:anyone thinks "the saw" is a horror movie ? ...
Rhonda, I got the Saw vcd, so you no need to buy. Saw 2(which is even better) not out yet.Originally posted by Rhonda:I guess in that case, you guys would classify "Creep" as a gorey movie instead of a horror movie too, since it's kinda like a slasher hit but with a lot more gore!
It scared the hell outta me! I went to watch it alone in an almost empty cinema and some parts had me sitting there, all tensed up with clenched fists... sooooo scary!!
And, I must go and catch "Saw" and "Saw 2"... heard so many of you talking about it!

I always say, when you enter the cinema to watch a movie, you've got to pretend you're stepping into another world and you have to leave some part of your brain behind for some genres!
Otherwise, if you really want hard facts and all that, go watch a documentary!
It's hard to make a movie that's scary anymore... audiences have seen almost everything graphic and gruesome and we've been desensitised now! Used to be, chopped up body parts were frightening to watch but nowadays, who flinches anymore?
Orh! Waaaaah... can watch "Saw" liao!Originally posted by av98m:Rhonda, I got the Saw vcd, so you no need to buy. Saw 2(which is even better) not out yet.
And another excellent movie is The Descent. You must get it after it is released.
