I think it's pretty typical of guys when it comes to food. Like my SO, he tends to start eating from my plate after he finishes his food if he likes it.
the reverse is true for me, she would start eating my vege from my plate or what ever takes her fancy. LOL she eats faster and orders smaller dish lol
oh well i do not like veges anyway lol -
Both of us eat moderately usually and he's a much faster eater then I am. We both like meat and veggies so it's a split on which is nicer
I don't know if it's a good or bad thing but we usually like the same cuts of meat etc -

The other advantage naturally is you can order different dishes and try each others. LOL theres only so many salads or pasta dishes lol and you try eating at chinese restaurant with a non meat eater, so much pain working out what dishes have vegegables when only ordering for 2. -
woah there Av. me thinks you should first ask where these couples are. Remembering that everybodies circumstances are all different. From what i understand from reading this sad touching story is that these couple fall below what we may consider as the poverty line. And they seem happy. Not all guys are as expressive either thru cultural upbringing or just personality. this couple is in Singapore ba... I dont think they really earn so little that must share one packet of rice ba.. but the girl often say she got small appetite doesn't matter. (She is not VERY skinny, just normal size)In this particular situation though, I think the guy is just self centred. He does spend on the things HE like - CDs and stuff. I am sure he can afford a better meal for her ONCE a freakin' year.
But in a situation where both parties are broke and poor, I guess sharing food can fill the tummy and the heart.
And yes, hehehe.. I guess the guys splurging does create some atmosphere (and help the economy too!)
But its more fun to get flowers during times when not EVERYONE seem to be holding a buncha flowers. ANd it is more fun to get a gift, when there is no occasion at all. -
We will just have to agree to disagree on this. I stand by what I said. At the bare minimum you should be able to ensure that your partner does not go hungry. I'm not talking about eating delicacies or living in a big house here. Just basic subsistence.

Actually I think for the credit card, it's usually under the guy's name but it's the women who use it more often

Its probably not needed to have individual cards honestly. LOL and yes i dont feel it necessary to have my own separate bank account, i just use her bank card if i need money lol. Unless you plan to buy gifst for some one else
