Before that, he used to compose popular songs (non-rap) for other famous singers. He surmounted huge obstacles, ie. producers telling him he was too ugly to every 'make it', to finally sing his own songs and produce his own albums.
His MTV's are pretty creative and most of his songs kinda grow on you.
That Huo Yuan Jia MTV was a huge shock though! I don't exactly like men using fans, jumping around like ma lau (Cantonese for monkeys).
