get a pile of shiitake mushrooms...
cut them into similar sized slices...
put in a wok some butter or olive oil... add mashed garlic (try to make it very VERY finely mashed)
saute until fragrant..
add mushrooms...
add white wine or beer...
cover and allow to reduce..
sauted mushrooms!

try this.. is cajun and VERY unhealthy.. but delicious
get about half a block of butter, a cup of brown sugar and about 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon... combine the mess over low heat on a frying pan/skillet thing...
stir until it becomes a brown liquid.. add in about 1/4 cup of banana liqueur..
place in about 4 bananas (sliced lengthwise into 2 or 3 slices)
slowly cook until the bananas are soft and browned..
add in some rum (carefully or else everything will catch fire too soon)
allow to heat and cook for a while then flambe it...
when it stops burning, place a few bananas in a plate and add vanilla ice cream.. spoon the sauce over the ice cream...
