I remember having a chat witch my SO regarding plastic sugery and what women would feel comfortable with and how they view other women who has them.Originally posted by Rhonda:You've GOT to be kidding?!! Which part of them's real? Terri Hatcher has so much plastic surgery done on her, I doubt if she has an inch on her body that's still 'real'!
nice show that.Originally posted by thinkdifferent:I like my boobs as they are, I like my face as it is. Scalpels please stay away of me, apage satanas!
By the way, reminds me of the US serial Nip/Tuc. Does anyone know it?
So yeah, boobs are great. Ladies, if you're reading, for the love of God, don't defile them. Don't get implants. Do not tattoo them. That's just vandalism right there. Do not freak out if they're not as big as you'd like. Appreciate them. We certainly do. And wear more clothes with cleavage. I command it.--Outpostnine.com
ahh so there is a clear distinction in your books regarding what type of surgery is acceptable. Let me challange you then the "stranger looking right back at me?"Originally posted by Rhonda:Fake boobies are just... sad! They rank right up there with penile extensions (stuff you hear of in spam)! Bleah! It's like saying, "Come look at my boobies!! I'm so sexy now cause my boobies are Size DD knock-em-out'ers!"
And, have you watched shows like The Swan or Extreme Makeover? Plastic surgery on the face is scary! Imagine waking up, looking in the mirror and wondering, "Who's that stranger looking right back at me?"
In The Swan, sometimes, the kids can't seem to recognise their mommy anymore! Surgical corrections on the face can be way too drastic with creepy results!
Procedures that I think are pretty ok because they aren't too drastic would be :
- Blepharoplasty (Creating double eyelids);
- Liposuction; and
- Tummy Tucks (for post-liposuction on the abdomen or for people who lose too much weight in too short a time).
Also, plastic surgery for accident victims are not just recommended, they're sometimes necessary!
Yes i know it, i wuite like that show... it starsJulian Macmann (not sure about spelling) which so happens to be son of ex Prime Minister of Australia.Originally posted by thinkdifferent:I like my boobs as they are, I like my face as it is. Scalpels please stay away of me, apage satanas!

I didn't promise you a politically-correct post, did I? I was just voicing my own opinions and IMO, boob enlargements are yucks. But, if it's really a "washboard with nipples", then maybe, aesthetically and for the ego of the person involved, it might be a 'necessary evil'.Originally posted by Kan_i:ahh so there is a clear distinction in your books regarding what type of surgery is acceptable. Now isnt this true for the double eye lids operation. I do not see how that is different from boob job. And lol i do not believe all breast enlargement ends in DD (although we may wish it to hahahah). Naturally the only difference here is one is more noticable than the other.
I am sure no woman wants to be described "washboard with nipples"
(in my defence this was a termed i have heard from a female caousin)
Hahah its not politically-correct to start such a thread lol was interested to see how people felt regarding plastic surgery in SG.Originally posted by Rhonda:I didn't promise you a politically-correct post, did I? I made my conclusions based on how extensive the surgical procedures are and the risks involved. Sorry, was looking at it from the medical/nursing viewpoint. It's well known that boob jobs can turn out looking worse than before, and there have been incidences with the implants, dimpling and puckering of the boobs, unequal distribution in both boobs, having to re-do the procedure or return in a few years' time for corrections and all that...
With blepharoplasty, there are, of course, risks involved too, as with all other surgical procedures but the side effects are lesser, in comparison.

Botox remains a toxin and I'm very interested in knowing if there'll be any long-term side effects or worse, adverse effects to using it. Afterall, the usage of Botox is still in its infancy and it remains to be seen what can really happen say, in a decade or two's time!Originally posted by choco B:Hmm this sounds like a case for some " youthful improvements " like botox and face lift when one ages.
