the place is beautiful with the most wonderfully weird architecture, a wonderful beach, beautiful streets, people, buildings and food.. a mix of spanish and catalan..
would be wonderful if i find Mrs Bear and bring her there to discover the wonderful city with me

Oh yeah, jetta could "educate" us on that. But with Seattle losing the Super Bowl, she may be in a foul mood.

I stayed over at a friend's place there once before ... he has a big outdoor jacuzi pool in his backyard ! .... 
we bought oysters and red wine and invited a bunch of his high school female friends over to soak with us ...
you know you have it made when you can have a big house in the mountains with an outdoor jacuzi pool ...

LOL seriously we always get "melbourne" is better than Sydney in the local news too... but again from melbourne ppl only lol international reports always point to Sydney. Cause Melbourne is usually cold and damp. Which is the common joke both in Sydney and Melbourne that it always rain every other day lol
It seems that woman like melbourne cause shopping is cheaper and closer together, unlike Sydney which is spread out over entire city, lol which is easier on the heels.
Queensland is where u want to be to enjoy the sun and surf. Also cheaper houses and more relaxed lifestyle. -

Don't know about Melbourne but I've been to Sydney during winter. Boy, it was wet too!

What benchmarks are being used? Cost of living? Per capita GNP? Crime rate? Average height of the populace? -

i cant believe hong kong is not in top 20. anyways.. barcelona sounds like a nice place to go to, i'd like to go to rome too
