I was always a pretty good student and always got into the school/course of my choice. UNTIL... I went to JC. In the beginning, I did well, but then, due to paktor-logy, I didn't get fantastic results for my 'A' levels. Suddenly, for the first time in my life, I couldn't proceed any further!!
I spent the next few months utterly depressed. None of my friends did well either, but their families could afford to send them overseas for further studies. My mom was so upset that although she agreed to let me re-take my 'A' levels as a private candidate, she never gave me peace over it at home. Finally, I couldn't take it anymore so I decided to forget about re-taking altogether... how to study in such an environment, right?
Anyways, my first big failure in school taught me ONE HUGE lesson... I shall NEVER fail again!
And guess what, since then, for most of my courses, I not only passed, I won awards or did exceptionally well.
And I did it all because I never forgot my failure... and it fired me up to do well.
So, learn from your failures. Never forget the lessons you learn from failures! -

oh.. mudskippers are so cute!
they carry around a mouthful of water and their dorsal fins are like flags to "intimidate" rivals and "seduce" lady fish
there were some huge ones in the canal behind my office.. but very few these days.. i think the cichlids bullied them or ate the smaller ones coz there is a proliferation of cichlids in the canal these days

That's what hubby told me, after the fact. I just thought he was a nice guy, easy to talk to. He still is and I consider myself sooo very lucky to have met him. We are best friends and enjoy doing everything together. Was just kidding about keeping them as pets. I have enough babies to look after now and I don't think we can look after another tank. Maybe if we decide to keep something else but what we have can live pretty long provided everything is right -
