Don't worry about these things.
When the time comes and changing your IC is required, they will likely send you a letter informing you of the procedure.
That's their job. Not yours. -

I haven't received an mail at all from them Still using my old IC.. wondering if I should go have it changed when I'm back end of this year...

I changed mine online after getting a second letter telling me that its an offence not to renew my IC. I used a damned horrible pic hastily taken with a point and shoot.
