I was going to give hubby a surprised Big 50 birthday. Run around getting a special cake from a hotel, arrange for balloons and centre piece. Went to party place, buy all those Big 50 stuff. Came home, decorate the house. So happy, awaiting his return.
When he came home and see the balloons and decor? He got angry and gave me sh1t. Oh, I was torn to pieces. You don't know my heart ache. But with every bad thing, comes good things too. We both learn from this incident. I learn to respect his wishes that he doesn't like all these frills and he, in return, allows me to do small stuff. So, there you go.....we made up! And live happily ever after. Hee hee........... -

Oh, my cubicle is quite secluded. No one bugs me one lah. I am an individual contributor. But actually, lately got one newbie. Jiao kia hmm pak lastic. Thinks she wants to be boss like that. Oh, back to my cubicle. I have a corner part of my workstation where I can put a portable DVD. You know? Those in the car type. About 7" or even 10". Work has been a bit slow so I can have time to watch a movie or so. Over here, as long as you deliver, no one cares what you do in your down time. I even have one colleague doing her e-bay business during office hours. And it is not a secret. We actually collect boxes or packing material for her if we come across any. That's the beauty with working in an ang moh culture. -

for me i too dislike the big hoo ha stuf. a simple dinner w family n a few drinks w frens will make me really happy. been doing tt for quite a while... no need for the whole huge party atmosphere.... -

indoor reception for tv was pretty bad so i watched it on the big creen in the board room wen the cat was away.... -

Yeah lah. I have learnt lah. But I thought Big 50 is special mah. We usually have quiet ones also. But like my son says "conflict is a form of communications" so, we learn. And I am still learning. -
