I think that's why they have this feature leh.Originally posted by laurence82:i am lazy, everything using Word's spell check
The place we saw up north, the owner countered. He wants 385 (we offered 340) and wants us to take over by the first of the month. No can do because I can't find someone to take over my current rental lease in that short time. Oh well. This place is an hour's drive one way for hubby. (About 1638 sf.)Originally posted by littlestream:Ah, good for you. But if you go that up north, how's the commute for your hubby? I guess you don't have to contend with weather unlike us eh?
I've been watching for about an hour now. Today show just started. My morning ritual.Originally posted by littlestream:jetta, you are not watching the olympics? now that AI is up to the last 24, any fav yet? got one black cha boh, very loud. surprised they actually put her through, with that attitude. and that grey hair guy, he reminds me of ray charles although he's white.
Wah, 385 quite steep leh. is it because it is CA?Originally posted by jetta:The place we saw up north, the owner countered. The ones I saw yesterday, only a 30 min commute one day. Much smaller home, only 1344 sq. I'll have to sell some stuff to fit.
i thought you are a fan of price is right. of all the game show, i only like jeopardy.Originally posted by jetta:I've been watching for about an hour now. Today show just started. My morning ritual.
AI? Now you're talking. My fave is that Catherine McPhee and that Kelly something. The one who's father is in and out of jail? Oh and that prematurely grey guy Tyler/Taylor? You neh?
awww....make that two of us!!!Originally posted by jetta:And one more thing about AI. I'm soooooo glad those horrible twins are out. Can't stand them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Prices here are unbelieveable! San Diego is the 6th most expensive place to live in and the housing prices reflect that. I would love to remain in this neighbourhood but a typical house here costs $600K. Even 30 year old homes like the one I'm renting (2275sqf) costs $650K to buy. Only a 20 min commute to the base for hubby.) And don't talk about dumps. We've gone to see many homes and even dumps are expensive! *%#&$&%&%#)(&*Originally posted by littlestream:Wah, 385 quite steep leh. is it because it is CA?
what's your current lease? a year? what's the penalty to break it?
i used to live in a village up north and worked downtown. the commute was like 3 hours each day, return trip. oh, i hate it. now? i work mid town and live just outside the greater toronto area. commute now is half an hour. what a relief. and the mobility of a car allows me to grocery shop any time of the week.
you know when i told my friends back in s'pore that all i want to do after work is to get home? they are like they say "this is NOT the littlestream they know." ah.....i have changed. domesticated and aged.
Yah Price is Right fan. Right after my Today show. That's been my "pattern" for years.Originally posted by littlestream:i thought you are a fan of price is right. of all the game show, i only like jeopardy.

Wow!!! That's really high!!! Like that, looks like I am stuck in Toronto liao. We are ranked 50th for most expensive city. Vancouver, having the mildest winter in Canada is ranked 15th.Originally posted by jetta:Prices here are unbelieveable! RE: AI. This year we get to vote! *happy dance*
Seattle? Only as a last resort. After being overseas for so long and being stationed in places like Singapore, Hawaii and here, we are all used to the warmer climates. Yes things are cheaper in Seattle and we have family there but.... San Diego has a higher military presence than Seattle so jobs here are easier to find since Hubby is navy. If anything, we can build equity here and take it up to Seattle if things don't work out here. Decisions, decisions, decisions...Originally posted by littlestream:Wow!!! That's really high!!! Oh, over here if we break the lease, I think the peanlty is like 2 months rental. I think, I may be wrong but I know we can break lease. Actually, negotiable lah.
But aren't you going to retire in Seattle? Your hubby's hometown. Fatum was mentioning Seattle. How do you like it? Wet also right? Have you ever consider Nevada?
We were living in Hawaii when the first AI came out. We tried to vote but couldn't get through so we gave up.Originally posted by littlestream:you mean you will vote? aiyoh, i must be really cheap. i only support from my couch.
