Not necessarily true, different conductors working with different orchestras at different venues produce different interpretations of the same score. And depending on your personal taste, you might like one version and hate the other. Its just like chicken rice tastes different depending on which stall you bought it from! The last classical CD I bought was early last year, so I'm not familiar with the newer releases. I guess once you've bought one copy, you don't really need a newer copy.
