because I've got a ton of work I should be doing, I have decided to attempt to make cheesecake instead. I decided to try out a non-bake cheesecake cos I am lazy to clean the oven.
List of INgredients: (pls judge quantity using intuition where its missing)
Base: Oreos, 1 packet of instant oats drink, butter (some tablespoons), condensed milk
Cheeseportion: 1 package cream cheese, 1 pkt whipped cream, 4 small packets of sugar, 1.5 tablespoons of milk, 1 tablespoon of choya, some leftover crumbs from base
Step 1: Hmm Crumble Oreo Cookies.I put the cookies in a plastic bag and CRUSHED them using the bottom of my baking pan... It was quite satisfying...SMASH SMASH SMASH
Step 2: Mix crumbs with butter and sugar.I put some butter in and decided in place of sugar, to put in a packet of instant oats cos that's quite sweet... and ... err I like oats. I tried to mix it but it was still rather crumbly (since I heck cared about the quantity proportion), I decided to put in some condensed milk cos its sticky.
Step 3: Crush and flatten into bottom of tinI using muffin cups to make single servings. I don't have a muffin tray... I use the metal cups that people used to make 'chui guay'. look the same lah hor. so I put the muffin papercup into the metal cups and started squashing the mixture flat with a teaspoon. The consistency looks okay. The taste seems pretty okay too.
Step 4: Mix cream cheese with sugarRecipe asked for 1/3 cup of sugar. My sugar is all finished except for those in mini-serve packets Husby got from the plane. I put 4 small packets in. Left remaining crumbs of base inside for mixing too.
Hmm.. my single speed mixer splattered the mixture. So I decided to cut the cream cheese up into small pieces and mix with my spoon first. The recipe asked for lemon juice which I don't have. My half-way drunk cup of mango juice is gone. So I looked in my frig for liquids. Aha! A months-old half drunk bottle of Choya! Alcohol shouldn't have expiry date right? Oops.. too late, I poured a tablespoon in already. Better don't check if there's an expiry date cos it's too late anyway. The recipe called for 2 tablespoonfuls of liquid.. so... Hmmm.... ok add another spoonful of milk. The entire mixture became much easier to mix
I cover my bowl with a lid and just let the mixer do it's job under the lid.
Step 5: Whip Whipping CreamThis is fun. BRRRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr and voila! It's whipped cream!
Step 6: Fold the whipping cream inHow huh. How to FOLD whipped cream. I decided to haphazardly slice the whip cream and sticky cream cheese mixture. Seems to work. Oh well.
Step 7: Scoop onto base and freeze for an hour.Okie. Scooped onto 9 little muffin tins. Hmm. Tastes okay still. Hope the stuff will solidy well! Will let you all know in a while
[waits for an hour][/b]
