What to do with nian gao?

How to cook it eh?
I cut it into slices. Dipped it in beaten eggs and pan fry it. But the eggs do not coat the nian gao.
What did I not do?
Anyone has tips on a fully egg-coated pan fried nian gao?
Or is there any other way to cook it?

slice them, steam them, eat with bread
wrap them with popiah(skin), fry them
cut into small pieces eat with ice cream
bake with cakes / cookies
eat with deserts like ice jelly, ice kacang
fry with eggs
share with neighbours &/or colleagues -

gotta flash-fry with some batter..
as in.. oil must be almost unreasonably hot.. the batter is fried and the inside is softened and not melted into a gooey mess which leaks everywhere...
the nian gao must be cool and hard before frying.. -

yeah many ways to eat nian gao. some are not yet tested kekeee
... but sounds kinda edible also..... drink more chinese tea also cos easier to digest as they are sticky.
been busy with some things lately.....
will pop by anytime, its fun to talk in club30 so many funny humourous kind nice people there. -
the bear seems to be an experienced and learned cook very experience with food...

yah.. pisang goreng batter, the type which is not like the malay type of batter but the type where you get with the chinese version... light and flaky instead of hard and chunky..
that's good coz it cooks quickly and you don't need to fry it too long..
be careful with how long you put it in coz it burns easily.. -
Bear's version sounds very gao nan tu leh. I'm not that pro leh.
Got Chinese and Malay batter one meh?
Today, I'm going to use half tray of the nian gao to try the cornflour in egg. Then, if successful, I will use the other half with the batter, say tomorrow or next Saturday.
