World Reading Day 2006

Last year, World Reading Day fell on 3 March and a few of us in here tried to read at least one book before then, and then we all wrote our own reviews to share with all.

Wondering if there's going to be a World Reading Day this year too? Has anyone seen any publicity materials on this yet? SL, would you be aware of this? I tried to google it but to no avail.
The closest thing was a 'World Book Day' in the UK for the Brits only.
In any case, we're nearing the end of February and 3 March is fast approaching! Assuming that there will be another World Reading Day this year on the same date as last year's, who's going to participate by reading a book before the day itself?

Do books of facts (history, philosophy, religions, science, culture and books which enrich your soul and personality) count too or were only novels and similar books meant?

Nope.. haven't heard anything about it, I think Australia has the World Book Day too but not heavily advertised.

If not counted, not writing reviews liao. I only read non-fiction books. I barely read fiction books. Actually, there's no real definition nor criteria. Last year, NLB just recommended a few titles but as long as you're reading, you have participated in the World Reading Day.
I guess, we should make this our own Club 30 annual thang! Fun, right?
OK, I'm going to pick my book now... reading the thinnest book counts too, hor?

THREE DAYS LEFT!!
Oh dear, don't know about you, but I would have to work a bit harder at finishing my book, which I started reading last Nov-Dec.
OK, I'm cheating. -
Doubt I'll have much time to do any reading on Friday as I'll be working till 9pm... maybe got time to read thru magazine articles only...

So far, I've read Banana Yoshimoto's 'Hardboiled'. It's a short story, so managed to finish it within an hour. -
