Have anyone eaten Arowana before? I think those are too tiny to eat. He got the red Arowana so those are expensive. They were still babies. you know ... speaking of using fishes to ward off evil made me think back to my NS days ... once upon a time, at a camp somewhere near changi village, a sargeant major gave stern orders to his men that come flood or fire or war, the 8 black gold fishes that lived in a tank in the company office must be fed and taken care off .... should anything happen to them, bad things would happen .... and he said it with a totally straight and stern face than one one dared snigger ...
a week later the coy was training for repelling .... and one of the demonstrating sargents slipped on the clift face and fell down, in front of a bunch of tramautized NS boys ... the sarge didn't die ... but he broke his legs very badly .... sure enough ... when we got back ... one of the black gold fishes were floating upside down ....
there were other incidents too ... more serious ones ... but i guess that should come under ghost stories or somethign ... -

got i got stories from my frens whr their family member were involved in near fatal accidents n miraculously escaped unscatched to find their arrowana dead. or on death's door due to illness and well when their health turn for the better. the arowana begins to fall ill n dies...Originally posted by elindra:I dunno about able to war off / absorb evil vibes

Ok. I had a near fatal accident before, but at that point of time I was not rearing any fish. Only my dad had a very bad predomination an hour before the accident happened about me and he said he was praying very hard for my safety. I might have died if I didnÂ’t stop sliding (would have died horribly though ) That would be head down a flight of stairs to broken glass and twisted metal below

I'm not sure about that .... I was cynical about such things before .... ghosts and the supernatural stuff didn't mean anything to me until NS .... there were other incidents and injuries too (including a fatality ... but i won't go into much details ... it wasn't one of those ill-treatment cases or a training accident ... that one i believe, fell under the X-files) .... and some gold fish conked out too ....Originally posted by elindra:

ive seen buses and car tt took dives off teh cliffs along the NS highway and the hills of my during my rides up. always send a shiver up my spine. i went once for the 6pm slot n surprisingly most of the guests actually leave by 8pm automatically so tt shd b able to buy some time for u.
actually last time at gullimard village whr ka soh used to be had a nice jap restaurant i tink its still ther. but sori i cnt remeber the name of the joint. if yr ther for dinner can go chill out for after dinner drinks at villa bali.... -
