It IS cruel!Originally posted by Fatum:you know .... some of those more mutated forms of goldfishes look rather pitiful ....
those with corns on their heads and bulging eyes and squat bodies and oversized fins .... seems like they can hardly swim around their tanks ....
selective breeding like this is cruel if you ask me ...
YOu mean like the Siamese cats to get that fragile look?Originally posted by Rhonda:It IS cruel!
There are breeds of cats that are genetically-inclined to have respiratory or joint problems because of some abnormalities, but they keep breeding them cause they're considered 'pedigrees'!
nah, not that.Originally posted by Fatum:what happened ? ... cannot take leave ? ....
its boring la. i guess it appeals more to people who don't handle aircraftsOriginally posted by elindra:I think this is the 2nd or 3rd time SO is back at the show

You know the number of people walking in and out of the clinic
I should have studied to be a chiropractor!
1 session like this cost $50-$70 bucks and there are easily more than 50 peeps per day walking in and out of that clinic. If I'm not wrong it's about 100 per day......do your math

its the same thing, aircraft fly here and there, release afterburner, slow flight, zoom up and down.
he don't find it boring?Originally posted by elindra:

It's his job
its a farce lah. he has good intentions bt he sucks at organising n honestly kids aernt attracted by the food he serves. i watch the entire series on scv.Originally posted by Rhonda:Wow! Jamie's School Dinners is on! Amazing!
No he doesn't find it boringOriginally posted by kopiosatu:he don't find it boring?
last year we were 'planned' to go for the show.
we all went there, only to step inside and start our countdown to go home.
you're right ... it's crap ...Originally posted by kopiosatu:nah, not that.
i'm doing this church anniversary magazine. so they have a pretty low budget. which i think its total crap.
25th anniversary, they don't even make magazines often. the last one was 15th anniversary! gave me a low budget. but my idea was a photo mag, i've got the photos but with a low budget you get cheap prints and nothing stands out, might as well go buy 8 days.
so i decided to throw in my own cash to jack up the 1/3 of the original budget.
i feel that if its a magazine worth keeping, then make it worth keeping. do it once, do it good. i wouldn't be able to take it if all my efforts go to waste on a cheapo print.
i'm not even getting paid to do the shoots. and here i am forking out a whole wad of cash.
i'm asking myself if i'm doing the right thing.
wah lao... his mentality might change if he was with usOriginally posted by elindra:No he doesn't find it boring

I meant like Persian cats. Their punched-in button-nose look makes them prone to respiratory ailments.Originally posted by elindra:YOu mean like the Siamese cats to get that fragile look?
Yuck looks uglyOriginally posted by Rhonda:I meant like Persian cats. Their punched-in button-nose look makes them prone to respiratory ailments.
And the very short-legged Munchkins ... they end up having joint problems gradually.
I think certain man-created dog breeds suffer from their abnormalities too.
they tell me they're not a mega church, that's why there's no mega budget.Originally posted by Fatum:you're right ... it's crap ...
it's one of my pet rants .... just look at the number of priests and pastors driving mercs and beemers around Singapore ... while people who can barely get by are pressured to tithe more than they can afford .... ..... a poor church in Singapore is an oxymoron if you ask me ....
Originally posted by Rhonda:Whoa... the kids all hate their food! They prefer the junk food that they're used to!
The cooks are infuriated at having to change their menus and they can't cope with the menu changes. One of them is on the phone with Jamie, telling him that she's not going to do it again.
Poor cats!Originally posted by elindra:Yuck looks ugly
I read about Siamese cats too. Apparently there are 2 kinds. The original one and the one bred to have thinner legs which are prone to be broken
they're the mirror image of my workplace.Originally posted by elindra:

Erm... don't accept the project in the first place.Originally posted by kopiosatu:they tell me they're not a mega church, that's why there's no mega budget.
i told my friend who's a full time employee there, if that's the budget they are gonna give, then don't blame me if the prints come out like crap. at the end i couldn't bear to let my photos go to waste on a low budget, so i decided to pump the money in to a more comfortable level.
i lose a whole lot of cash, but there's something i will definately get back... job satisfaction.
the question i'm asking myself is... will people appreciate anything? in singapore its highly unlikely. you know what will hurt me the most? when the prints come out and they say the prints are not good enough.
i will literally flip the table and storm out of the church.
Humans are cruelOriginally posted by Rhonda:Poor cats!
