Can anyone provide such a guide for my idiotic sister?
She's 14 this year... and she just got a pair of dwarf (i think) hamsters...
I'm worried for the hamsters.... I think they won't last beyond 2 weeks...

last time i used to have a hammie, then i tot it wud feel lonely, so i got it a female hammie for companionship. then the moment my hammie saw the female hamster, it rushed to it and started having sex with it. the female hammie was still too small tho, and i had to drag them apart. but of cos as soon as i m away, they started again, and in the end i had to buy a new cage for the female hammie to keep her away from "harassment" -

Tell her not to poke and fondle it too much. It causes unnecessary stress to the hamster and will shorten its life span.

injured hamster wun last long one...and if it is sick with some other illness, it will infect the other hammie as well...dats wat happened to mine

It's fun to put up threads asking for advice because it's different when you hear it from people who have the know-how and experience.
Also, it's fun to brainstorm in here.

I think that your male hamster must have resented you a lot for interfering with its sex life! Poor hamster... must've limped around cause it couldn't seek 'release'!!
