that'll take care of 4 of them. they wan 1 male n 1 female... both are experienced in terms of takin care of hammies... tho the wan who really wan hammies are their brother and bf...

we're gettin this biiiiiig cage at home to keep them
maybe we'll wait till we get our own place first... cos he'd definitely keep them in the kitchen... and i won't be lookin at them.. maybe once in a while..
i like to lie down in front of the cage just lookin at the hammies runnin around
and the cage's in the living room... (distracts mama a lot.. she spend half her time lookin at the hammies.. 1/4 doin her work 1/4 watchin tv ) -

well, if separated, the male becomes less aggressive... it's better to keep a male hamster alone, than to keep a female hamster alone... the female hamster tends to become kinda moody.. who knows? hamster PMS?

another time, i had 2 males, they fought like mad too...
most of my other friends had one of each.. the hamsters fought too
so i came to the conclusion:
2 males, they fight
2 females, they fight
1 male and 1 female, they fight and at the end of the year, you have about 50 hamsters -

the other way around, not so much fighting
bedding? i used pine shavings but decided on the recycled paper stuff.. looks like rough gray cotton but it absorbs the smells.. there was one type which i could not find anymore which was like little cotton balls.. that type, totally no detectable odour for about 2 weeks for 1 hamster!
