I became interested in wines when I heard Lau asking questions about wine and reading Brey and a few others' replies.
And then, during my brother's Chinese wedding dinner, when my family went on stage for a 'yam seng', I tasted Champagne and I thought, "Ooh! Niice! I want more!!"
In the end, somehow, I didn't get to taste another drop of wine that evening, but darnit... his father-in-law actually got drunk!! Where was the booze, man?!
Anyways, I thought that I'd start this thread for us to talk about beers, wine, and related schtuff!
I've got tons of questions that I hope will be answered here.

This morning, at 7-Eleven's, I saw miniature bottles of Absolut Vodka for sale at just $6.95 each!! There was Absolut Vodka Vanilla, Citrus and Mandarin and I got them all!
It's 40% Alcohol and whooosh... strong stuff!!
I can't drink it neat! So, I mixed a little with a whole lotta Allswell Kumquat Juice and it tasted nice.
Wondering, what other ways can you serve Absolut Vodka? -

I've actually mixed absolute vodka with yakult(normal one, not the flavoured ones) before.
Tastes good! I call it the "stomach cleaning fluid"

My dad realised this and started bringing out the alcohol he kept during CNY -
absolut vodka with orangina is that how they spell that drink and a slice of lemon..

Wine? Rhonda you can taste the wine at my place if you want. Chris has a nice bottle of red wine opened currently. No one's helping him to drink currently He's working night this week too

Last night, after drinking a wee bit of Vodka (about 5 capfuls) with a lotta lotta Kumquat juice, my stomach felt warm and I could feel a kinda gentle flush in my cheeks!
Hmm... Vodka, at 40% alcohol, is considered 'strong', right? I couldn't drink it neat at all! Yucks!
