the people in uni liked Brown Cow.. or Kaulua with milk..
until i told them to let it stand for a while..
half an hour later, the milk had all curdled.. they never drank the stuff again -
I dunno....Bailey's and Kalua makes me wanna throw up

try this drink called vomit, or puke ...
take a glass of whatever beer you like, add in a finger or two of baileys ... the baileys will instantly curdle up on the top ... like puke ! ....
it still taste good though ... -

I recommend the white zinfandel from sutter home... u can get it around $25 bucks for standard 750ml bottle. It is a rose wine, about 9% alcohol, light to medium bodied, strong sweet peachy-cherry flavours and a nice lingering mildly spicy after taste. A really nice treat for parties... cheaper and more delicious than typically ice wine.
For whites, i generally go for chardonnay and red is cabernet souvignon. I once bought a late harvest wine for like $19 bucks from south africa, cannot make it... the 14% alcohol destroyed everything... so bitter after taste, no wonder was on discount! -

How long to keep wine depends on the wine itself. Some wine are meant to be drank after you let it aged. Some wine are meant to be drank within a certain period of time. Therefore u must know your wine before knowing whether to store it or drink it first.
As for different wine tasting different....of cos there is a difference...but I am skeptical abt how different it can be... when i was still working in the F&B industry, we were sent for wine appreciation classes and in one of them, the guy told us that many so called wine connessieurs (or however u spelt that...lazy to check haha), could not taste the difference between the different wines when put to an acid test. Alot of times, we marvel at a certain wine because we know it is more expensive than the other one. But whether the wine is nice is pretty much down to an individual, not becos of its origin or estate. I went to france and we went to this cellar in Beaune and signep up for a cellar and wine estate tour.... when we tasted the different wines, alot of us liked the cheaper ones... hahah weird. -
Bottled young wine should not be kept more than 1.5 - 2 years.
Vintage bottled wine could be kept as long as consumer's wish.
Note that there are specific bottles which are meant for keeping.
Most which we see in Supermarkets are not , they are young bottled meant for general consumers.
I personally have not drank vintage before but opened it....i didn't like the smell of it. -
Wow... a lot to learn! Looks like on my next trip to Cold Storage, I'll be spending some time hanging around the Wine section!
