wah, you brokeback mountain in malaysia ah?
jetta, I used to buy my kits from haberdasheries I visit - there's one in Holland Rd Shopping Ctr (but I've stopped going there cause they overcharge), Golden Dragon in Chinatown (but they have very very few kits, and the ones they have are for Chinese stuff or Korean stuff), the Knotty shop (where they copy some of the nicer patterns in cross-stitch mags and make their own kits for sale), Spotlight (again, very limited selection), and I also order online from this site that I really like!Originally posted by jetta:This was easy to do cause it was counted cross stitch. Each year we have a Christmas theme for gifts. Last year it was cross stitch but I only managed to finish this piece. The other piece for my mil, is still with me.
Where do you buy your kits from?
Just looked at the site. Shall I recommend one of my fave sites to you? www.joann.com I remember when I was still living in Sg, selections very disappointing. But that was like 15 years ago. Selection must be better now?Originally posted by Rhonda:jetta, I used to buy my kits from haberdasheries I visit - there's one in Holland Rd Shopping Ctr (but I've stopped going there cause they overcharge), Golden Dragon in Chinatown (but they have very very few kits, and the ones they have are for Chinese stuff or Korean stuff), the Knotty shop (where they copy some of the nicer patterns in cross-stitch mags and make their own kits for sale), Spotlight (again, very limited selection), and I also order online from this site that I really like!

I don't like coffee so I'm not missing out on anything. I have a nice bun recipe though. My family all love bread. Whenever I make this, it's gone in a few hours.Originally posted by Rhonda:I don't know what's the big deal about roti boy.
I've only eaten half of it, and good enough for me liao! It's just a hot bun with coffee-flavoured sweet stuff on top of the bun like that nia.
Wah, memories man... Cannot see stands like that here. Must go to NYC for that. BTW, there is an Indian guy who has a stand in NYC selling stuff like marsala thosai. *drool*Originally posted by skeujin:yupz... not exactly a impressive one thou. but the drink seller was really nice.. we sat w him for n our or so drinking n tokg to him. think its really sian to b up ther if nobody visits....

usually bout 3hrs to get to the base of the hill n another 30mins or so for the ride to the top whr we stayd. took up n hour more cause the road up is omni directional. even hours it goes uphill only n odd hours downhill only. n we missed the uphill hour by 5mins........Originally posted by jetta:Wah skeujin, nice pics. How long was the drive? I've always heard the road up is very dangerous. The fog in the 3rd pic reminds me of foggy mornings here. Speaking of which, how's the weather today Streamie? Things are nice here.
