I went to the Warehouse Sale yesterday!
They have tons of Cross-stitch kits from Dimensions, Sunset, DMC, and even from Korean companies, that are on hefty discount! I picked up this kit I've been eyeing and which cost $46+ retail at only $16!!
There are pattern books from the big companies too - American Heritage, American School of Needlework, DMC, Precious Moments, Mirabilia, Serendipity, Jeremiah Junction, etc etc. The best thing was the prices! Some charts are $2-3!! Most of them are sold at the printed price, eg. if the book is US$4, they sold it for S$4!!
There were also tons of paints and parchment craft paraphenalia available for sale.
I went early but by midday, the lunchtime crowd came and the small office-warehouse became pretty crowded. Didn't know there were that many stitchers and hobbyists around.
I suspect a few of them were haberdashery store owners cause they came and bought hundreds worth of stuff!
They lugged home boxes!
Well, if they are store owners, they'll reap in a tidy profit re-selling those items!
My verdict : Great Sale! Not to be missed if you're a keen stitcher! Even a casual stitcher would be able to pick up something ... keychain cross-stitch kits were going for just $2.50! Extra key chains with fabric was at $1 each, and mini-kits were to be had at about $6 onwards!
