jigsaw..i dun hv d interest too.. -
I sew out of necessity (repair work, buttons, etc) ... never for recreation heheh. And much prefer to use a machine cos it's fast.

These two were Tapestry kits that were on sale there at almost half price!
The retail price was something like $109 or more, they were selling at $56 each nia! Too bad, no $$!

BTW, who has done Tapestry in here before? I have the tapestry frame, bought by mistake when I was in Secondary School, so in the end, I wound peach ribbon around it, and tied large bows at the corners, and used it as a room decor! -

jetta's artwork is impressive! Extremely trying for the eyes too! But the pieces on black fabric usually turns out to be very very beautiful!
I read a tip from a Cross Stitch mag once that says that you may position the black fabric over a source of light placed near your lap so that the light will peek through the holes in the fabric, making it slightly easier to stitch on. -

I used to do jigsaw puzzles too though I'd be real slow whilst doing it cause I'd be totally relaxed and not in any kinda hurry at all. My ex used to come over, and 'help me' by completing huge chunks in a short while! I'd go
then he'd say, "Thank you! Thank you!" thinking that I'm complimenting him for being so speedy but I was actually displeased that he stuck a finger in my project, something that I wanted to do at a real leisurely pace!
He never ever got that! He said, why be so slow when you can complete it much faster?
Subsequently, he'd take my new puzzles, and complete them almost overnight!! It's actually amazing how fast he could do it!
(Or maybe, it's appalling how slow I do mine! ) -

They had boxes and boxes of Pergamo design books too! They were spread out in two areas though - behind the cashier, on the boxes on the floor near the window, and in the next room.

Do you remember the 'proper' way of sewing on buttons? That method requires a toothpick or matchstick placed right under the button you're sewing. I was never artistic but I tried at one stage! I stumble badly cause I'm too engrossed with the fine details that I end up getting impatient and frustrated! I remember arming myself with pencils and a sketchbook and went to the Botanical Gardens and decided to sketch the shrimps in a small pond. It took me so blardy long just to get the head of the shrimps right that I got frustrated and left! -
