In defense to people laughing at horror movies... i dont realy think its a matter of fending off fear as such... some of what pass as horror movies are not scarey and is quite funny. In my case i have seen just about every horror flick. i used to borrow all the movies from early year of high school, so i have seen nearly all variants of horror movies themes.
My most sacriest movie which i still find quite disturbing is the Omen and Excorcist orginals and how can u forget Nightmare on Elm Street. LOL i can remember as a primary lad i was terriffied by those movies... however nothing has been that good since lol.
I took the leaf out of 1 movie i cant remember to stem my fears and nightmares.. lol maybe it was Nightmare on Elm Street. The theme was simple... if it is your dream then you can control it. To battle demons you bring in a super hero of your imagination. Took me a bit of practise but worked beautifully. From that time on i havent been scared since and no nightmares of the horror type i couldnt battle lol -
BTW for FD3, do they have any survivors like FD1?
I only watched FD1 not 2. thought it was pretty facinating though not really gross -
I'm chicken hearted when it comes to horror movies
Not only do I miss all the scarey parts by hiding behind pillow , hair (haha sadako) or neighbour's shoulder, I get into a really moody funk after the movie. I'm talking seriously depressed, miserable mood that can last for hours. Cos all the nice people in the show ended up dead. Chopped! Slashed! I feel their pain lah, cannot take it.

The most memorable horror show I've watched was Scream, can't remember which instalment was it. It was an outdoors scene at night, the killer was on the loose and a couple of teenagers were making a break out of their house and into the car.
So the girl got in the driver's seat, the car wouldn't start - chugga chugga chugga , no ignition. She panics. Thump -thumping sounds heard from the roof of the car!! Girl freaks out. Cue spookey music.... there's a shadow from behind the back windscreen, a head appears....
Suddenly this girl from the front row shrieks "ZAI HOU MIAN!!! "
Walao everyone in the theatre laughed. -

FD3 is better than FD2, worth your money... whole show jz leaves u guessing how bad each of them will die... the part abt the song is funny.. maybe dying at the roller-coaster would be more peaceful...
