What kind of odds and ends?Originally posted by laurence82:Oh dear, toys no, other odds and ends yes
My mum told me I demolished every toy i had way back then, even a box of toys my grandma bought for her notti grandkids
To my grandmama in heaven, i am sorry...
Did those too. Caught grasshoppers, spiders, tadpoles, fish, bugs and attracting a whole coloney of ants as well (I did some awful things with a jar of honey)Originally posted by the Bear:nothing left...
not even that toy-truck of building blocks which i adored..
i guess they're just things...
besides, most of childhood spent catching stuff like bugs, spiders, fish, influenza, rashes and mosquito bites
I was closely-watched and not allowed to venture out into the fields and climb trees and what-not, although I did try whenever grandma or mom wasn't watching, but then, would kena spanked later!Originally posted by the Bear:nothing left...

OHHHHOriginally posted by Rhonda:Remember those tin toys that have patterns and what-not printed on them? I used to have plenty of those too!
There was this creepy-looking clown that would ride a bike when you wound him up. He looks like Chucky's uncle like that!
And then, there was this plastic green frog that would paddle with his hind legs if you wound him up. I used to bring that into the bath with me!

Never got to torture insects, though I gave many cockles 'injections' with toothpicks when grandma dumped them into this huge enamel basin, waiting for the water to boil before she flash-boiled them to eat. I used to wait till the cockles opened up their shells, then pricked them until some of them bled, and closed their shells. Didn't occur to me back then that that was cruel.

What about:Originally posted by choco B:Hmm... nope nope. My toys are all disposed of, and I made my mom throw the soft toys away, never was a fan of them heheh
I kept my barbie dolls for the longest time till it felt abit ridiculous after the wad, third house move that I still had 'em , and I didn't have a proper place to display them anyway, so I threw them away too
I do have an old autograph book though, from primary and secondary school.
"birds fly high, hard to catch
friends like you, hard to forget!"
Hahah poetic stuff.
