And, you're absolutely right! Brace yourself for more foreign workers! Someday, it will no longer be easy for the govt to assure us that they are not depriving us of our jobs because they will no longer be here just for blue-collar jobs that our locals shun, but they will compete with us for the white-collar jobs too! Just wait and see... it will happen.
While singaporean guys served their 2 and 1/2 year of NS (now is 2 years), the gahment had already imported many indians and china national to study in NTU/NUS.
Now these ppl are everywhere. -

Although certain things in the major cities is worse than singapore, the ppl there can chose to stay away from the cities. In Singapore we can't.

And they are going to get even more rude over the years as the overpopulation problem increases. I'm sorry to say that I've displayed rude behaviour myself when enraged by the sheer mass of people when I'm outside(e.g. there was this idiot in front of me that somehow had problems walking a in a straight line, I shoved him out of the way and when he fell and turned to look at me in shock I threatened to kill him if he got in my way again).Originally posted by jetta:Yes. No lah, that was nearly 3 years ago. I manage anger a lot better these days. My colleagues are the ones that notice the biggest difference. Used to be very hot tempered at work too.Originally posted by Rhonda:

i can go postal just being at work.
but i've taken many steps backwards, so i'm gonna enjoy my time more in there.
but i think the system is just waiting to crash. it always happens. what goes up must come down.
