Here's my Kueh Serimuka.
I've made this a few times liao and because the custard has eggs in the ingredients, my previous attempts have always resulted the custard to be like 'pong pong' like that.
So, last weekend, I thought, "okay, I'll go with really slow flame". Results? Not perfect but an improvement. However, got deceived by the appearance!!! When I eventually cut it, the centre were not really firm. Had to re-steam it.
Taste wise? Hmmm........pai seh to report....VERY GOOD!!!

skeujin........this time round, taste wise, it's the best. Do you agree with me that cooking.........must cook with heart also? Like I said, I've made this before but so-so. This time, I put "sum kei" in it and it was good. Or was it because I haven't had it for a long time. -

i dont know what that is, neither have i tried it, i think its probably coconut based? looks good, if not better than ones bought outside. ^^

i'm lousy at baking but i got a cheat recipe for brownies which your neighbours will know you are baking
cheat this way...
buy a box of Betty Crocker Brownie mix..
but about half to 1 pound of cooking chocolate...
prepare the Brownie mix..
chop up the cooking chocolate and fold the chocolate in...
bake as the instructions say...
(secret is to not have the brownies too thick.. else the inside doesn't cook... use a very wide baking pan)
be prepared for your house to have the smell of chocolate for about 2 days
i baked a few of these things and ate a total of about 1/2 sq inch in total... the rest were wiped out before i could get my paws on them... there was one tray which was eaten by 3 girls before it was even cooled (Goldilocks' revenge?)
give it a go -

i only know how to make mashed potatoes... and some simple pasta... but they always dun turn out the way i wanted them to be.. edible lah, but dun look nice, not like urs... looks nice , and i think must be taste nice also.

Erm... at first I did think it would be better to transfer this to the Home Cooking thread but then again, it would be quite troublesome leh. And anyways, I like the title of this new thread! Like some cooking show like that!
Nevermind then... treat this thread as a 'showcase' for those of us who wanna share photos of our cooking. Otherwise, if we lump everything inside Home Cooking, not so interesting!
I think it's more appropriate for 'Home Cooking' to be a 'recipe bank' like that! -
