u mean the baby crying? or the visiting over the weekend?
or the comparison between me n nel?
anyway i think his mother was exaggeratin when she say the bb was easy to look after.... she said the baby seldom cry...
but i can hear the baby crying non stop...![]()

my mom said i cry at EVERY LITTLE THINGOriginally posted by Rhonda:I meant, if you had a particular characteristic when you were a baby, there's a 50-50 chance that your own baby will be like you. One of my ex-colleagues just gave birth, it was quite funny cause one batch of colleagues went to visit her, came back and said, "Whoa... that baby was crying non-stop! So loud! And we all left shortly after!".![]()
The next batch of colleagues visited her, and reported, "No leh... baby was very sweet and quiet. Didn't cry at all the whole time we were there!"
shinta, if baby cries, most likely, it wants / needs something. If it's teething, it will scream the house down one cause they're in pain. My mom told me that when I used to scream, she'd offer me a teething ring that she'd left in the freezer to chew on and the cold seemed to help soothe the pain a bit cause I'd stop crying and just chew-chew-drool-drool.![]()
So, when baby cries, find out what baby might be trying to tell you.

as for nel's niece.. it was obvious sth wasn right when she cried like that... but i wasn out there... i was in the room.. and her ma, and grand ma's outside with her.. so let them solve the thing themself..
when my sister cried last time, the first thing i did was check the nappy.Originally posted by Rhonda:![]()
So you were hiding in the room, ah?
Usually, they cry for a few things nia... Hungry? Nappy needs changing? Hot? Wants mommy or someone familiar to comfort? Suddenly kia-kia and needs company? Restless / bored and wants to gai-gai, see things? Bored and wants to be entertained? Teething? Wants attention?
Erm... what else, ah?![]()
I guess if you're close to the baby, you might learn to 'interpret' its cries. But poor baby, whatever it wants, it can only cry for!

nel was quiet as a kid... up till he's 3 years old..Originally posted by Rhonda:shinta, I was your exact opposite... as a baby, mom said I was so quiet that even when they brought me home, the neighbours would ask if I was home or not cause I was so quiet.

Yup, possible to duplicate photos without the negatives but it's pretty costly. At least, it was kinda costly when I did it a few years ago.Originally posted by shinta:![]()

I think it should be cheaper now. Go and try!It will be a printout from those photo-printing machines beside a PC though.
And know ignore questions and go off at a tangent.Originally posted by Gazelle:Yes, i think you like to gossip about your colleagues, relatives, friends and families, and use their circumstances selectively to support your arguement that marriage = divorce, children = nightmare and disaster
I think you need to look beyond the surface of things to understand the bright side of life. Behind all that bad news you talk about, there are whole lot of happy things which you dont get to see.

I'm usually the one entertaining the children at our table in D&D's.Somehow, always kena stuck with the children one!
Anyways, I kind took care of my younger cousins when grandma was busy last time. I had to think of how to pacify them, entertain them, sing them to sleep, etc.
So, I think I can look after them ... but for a few hours nia! Bring home, or keep forever, no thank you! Enjoying my singlehood too much now!![]()

Sounds like you are saying you are over qualified to look after children.
LOL i have always been good with children... however i tend to wind them up just a bit too much sometimes, lol even by just looking at them.
