Why got that blushing emoticon one, gentlerock?? You left a trail ah?Originally posted by gentlerock:My advice on office relationships: Strictly follow SAF COC 7 (do anything, just don't get caught). Yes, its possible, even for long periods of time, as long as you don't get complacent.
Er....or do you mean the legitimate true-love kind of relationships?
I actually got to know my wife at work! After graduation, she was 'temping' at my previous company, which is how we met.Originally posted by littlestream:Why got that blushing emoticon one, gentlerock?? You left a trail ah?

Saw me, was crazy about me, went after me, tackled me, forced me to go out....and eventually and asked me for marriage.
(In the last paragraph, substitute the words "me" with "her" and you have the real story).
I'm moderately sociable and do travel around a lot, both locally and internationally. But hor....I've also had 3 office romances (1 serious, 2 play-play type) so far .....and one of them became my wife about 6 years ago.Originally posted by four-niner:I know of ppl who marry their colleagues and are quite happy. I look at it this way, if you are single close to 30 and very focus on your career unless you very sociable or your job allows you to travel often and meet diff people everyday you are unlikely ever going to meet 'that' someone outside of your industry, most likely I think it will be a colleague or ex-colleague.
I also have abt 3-4 office romances liao but all not serious, some involve temps all the way to corporate secretaries and even once a senior managress tsk .. but never reach second base DRAT!!Originally posted by gentlerock:I'm moderately sociable and do travel around a lot, both locally and internationally. Office very convenient for finding prey mah....
I totally agree....I've felt both edges before.Originally posted by four-niner:Office romances can be double-edge sword, if it works out thats fine otherwise it can be a very ugly scene with emails and accusations flying all over the place and all the other colleagues lapping it all up.
wah lan eh you very daring ah office hrs in carpark also dare to do. Ok lah I admit I also, I did it with a temp in a very secluded office staircase exit, we were going down to another dept, we could have used the lift but I guess that time we both felt the "need" , it was all very rush rush, while walking down the stairs together in silence we could both feel the adrenalin as though we both expected something to happen, then suddenly I grabbed her and pushed her to the wall and we started going at it, it was all just groping and hard frenching, it was both intense as well as thrill of being found out overwhelming but as soon as we heard the echo of a door opening somewhere we panic'd and faster arrange our clothes again. Lucky thing no circuit camera.Originally posted by gentlerock:I totally agree....I've felt both edges before.
About 5 years ago, I've been through a very shameful episode with my ex-secretary before. There was one day, out of passion, we ended up in my car, in the office carpark, during office hours. Usually the carpark is deserted, but on that fateful day, the ever-so-conservative HR directress and her whole admin team came back late from lunch and walked past us. We were too engrossed to notice them.
After that and both of us got into rather serious trouble. The HR directress (who is holier than my good friend, the Pope himself.....mainly because she was unwanted, sexually frustrated and will remain a virgin till old age) came to my room and made a big wayang out of it. Of course I denied it fiercely to the end, not knowing that they had seen us....which was of course another stupid thing to do.....
I remember something stupid I said out of panic "maybe you saw other people who looked like us?". (it sounded stupid because we were in MY car).
The my stupid secretary happened to be the rebellious type. The day after we got the warning, she came to office in a tube top. Yes, that sure fueled the fire real well....
To cut a long story short......when the next round of retrenchments, we were the first to get out. Don't play play with office romance....
hmm... looks like the Bear should start looking for Mrs Bear in his office?Originally posted by four-niner:I know of ppl who marry their colleagues and are quite happy.
