Short Getaway over the weekends

thinkin of a short getaway on a weekend, sometime in may...

any suggestions to where we could go, what we could do, and the budget?

perhaps malacca for food n little shopping? from just a minimum of 1 day to perhaps 2 days 1 nite? 2 days 1 nite bcos malacca basically doesn't have lots of interesting places.
budget wise should be affordable and around rm200 - 300? that's what i spent the other time i was there. -

Depends on what you and him like to do on vacations.
Some people die-die MUST have a beach nearby, others die-die MUST have some shopping places nearby.
And there are also others who most definitely won't even get to step out of their hotel room one! 
In those cases, it really doesn't matter where liao! 
For me, I think as long as my sweetheart is with me, it doesn't quite matter where.
Cuz we'll be bringing along our own little slice of paradise as long as we're together mah!
Hmm... shinta, since it's a short getaway, I guess you'll perhaps be restricted to either Malaysia or certain parts of Indonesia. Try to choose a location where you don't spend a great part of the vacation travelling! -

Desaru also can consider, I think. I haven't been there for more than a decade liao though, but I heard from colleagues that it can be pretty good for a relaxing, cho-bo (do nothing) kinda holiday by the beach.
Besides, Desaru is really near and you wouldn't be spending too much time on the bus.
Not sure about what you can do there though, besides taking walks by the beach. -
