When insensitivity can kill

  Was walking to the MRT with a couple of my colleagues after DnD last night, one of our cleaners was walking ahead of us when a cyclist either stopped to ask him something or was questioning why he didn't move to the side when the cyclist rang the bell (cyclist was on the pavement, and old man with grand daughter). The cleaner then walked away and the old man got very agitated.
  
  So my colleague went forward and explained to the cyclist, this cleaner is a deaf mute... and guess what the cyclist said huffily? "Peng dao zhe zhong ren, zhen de shi ma fan!" and he cycled away. (Translated: To meet this type of people, really so troublesome)
  
  I am just glad our cleaner couldnt hear that hurting remark either. can't believe it.

  Hmm...rather sad situation to read about so early in e morning...

  u should tell the cyclist "Get out onto the road, pavement belongs to pedestrian, not to cyclists, u want a fine huh"

  coz it's the first thing i thought of... and being after a DnD, i'd have alcohol coursing through my veins and pickling my self-restraint to have done it

  Sometimes its really like this.. I wish to think they dont know better...
  
  but.. i can imagine when the grandpa is.. old, senile, needing help to clean and wash himself... the grand daughter wld have learnt 'need to take care of this type of people, so troublesome!'

  Cant blame the cyclist if he is rushing somewhere. Anyway if hes in a hurry he shld cycle on the road
