It's that time of the year again!
Times the Bookshop is holding their Books Warehouse Sale on 13-16 April 2006, from 10am to 9pm at the Singapore Expo Hall 6B!
A members' preview will be held on 12 April from 3-9pm at the same hall.

the Queue there is crazy.. can wait 2-3 hours the line stretch to 60% of the expo hall (in length) and only like 8 counters.
also, the books are place all over, means not sorted -

This book was in the news recently because it won some award. It's also unique in that it's a 'blog book', ie. it first appeared as a blog online.

If this sale is like all previous sales, there'll be a few old foreign mags that'll be really cheap, a few older edition travel guidebooks, selected recipe books, cheap children's books, assorted novels (basically, the earlier you go, the better the titles), etc.
Newer titles might be available sometimes too although the quantities would be really limited, eg. one or two on the days I went, and even then, on the later days, I didn't spot any.
I guess, be an early bird cause the early bird catches the worm! -
Went to the Members Preview this afternoon!
It's the same like all Times' previous Books WArehouse Sales at the Expo - boxes of books placed on top of makeshift tables, neatly categorised according to areas - Children, Fiction, Self-Help, Food and Cooking, Computing, Stationery, Sports, Health, etc. Archie comics and other comics were available too!
Outdated mags as recent as Jan 2006 were available at just $3 each! I saw Australian Women's Weekly, Vogue, Vogue Entertaining, etc. Not sure if they'll have other mags available on other days.
Most of the fiction weren't new ones, although I spotted four copies of Robin Cook's latest fiction there. I saw two copies of 'Out' for just $5.
Go take a look if you can!
