I dunno what good plans they haveOriginally posted by jetta:No wonder I keep hearing people talking about leaving Sg. But really, life outside of Sg isn't a walk in the park either. Take it from me.
but they will be assimilated and forced to conform by the rest, and the party whip. Or they will be forced to leave.Originally posted by sbst275:I can see quite a number of new canidates dun
But I do see the new batch some have good personality... Not like some inside currently
That's the sad realityOriginally posted by av98m:but they will be assimilated and forced to conform by the rest, and the party whip. Or they will be forced to leave.
Yah, there are too many of them in Sg. In the flat below mine in Sg, there are like 6 or 8 Chinamen living in a 4 room flat. They talk so loud! Their bikes take up half the corridor space. There are a few living on my floor as well. Cannot stand the way they talk so loudly along the corridor, among other things.Originally posted by av98m:wah....early morning talking about babies ah....
On a related note, I think Singapore will be a much nicer place if they killed off about 2 million of us, preferably starting first with the mainland chinese, to ease the overcrowding and strain on resources. Then perhaps more Singaporeans will consider having children.
Singaporeans were never known for basic courtesy, and with the increased overcrowding and overall frustration, we've only gotten worse. And we've been steadily importing rude mainland chinese too!Originally posted by jetta:On my last 3 visits back, I found Sg to be soooooo crowded. How many more people can our tiny island pack? As it is, courtesy has been sacrificed. I cannot believe how much ruder people have gotten.
Simple, take a bus or MRT, no one wants to move in making the bus driver to think the bus is packed (Except for some SBS svs drivers)Originally posted by av98m:Singaporeans were never known for basic courtesy, and with the increased overcrowding and overall frustration, we've only gotten worse. It's nearly impossible to ride the MRT during peak hours!! Those yahoos in power are blind!Originally posted by sbst275:I dunno what good plans they have
Insist on everyone to take the MRT, they say buses clog the road... I dun think so now
Actually I can see, if buses is allowed to fully run duplicate with the MRT (Though it is not possible for a total duplication in reality), I can see both MRT and buses would be packed, it's only how you try to use your resources availableOriginally posted by jetta:It's nearly impossible to ride the MRT during peak hours!! I'll say! Much as I enjoy visits home, once there, two weeks is all I can stand. Rude people just make my visits bittersweet. Aiyoh, those mainlanders, esp the men, they just love to stare and stare at people. Super sickening. And don't they bathe? Haven't they heard of an iron? JMH observation.Originally posted by av98m:Singaporeans were never known for basic courtesy, and with the increased overcrowding and overall frustration, we've only gotten worse. That I know. My american friends also complain to me about things. Though they are apalled at the overcrowding problem we face here (One of them moved from New York to Wyoming to get away from the overcrowding madness)Originally posted by jetta:No wonder I keep hearing people talking about leaving Sg. Did you hear of the 22 who tried to enter NY? What do you think of the immigration policy they're hammering out?Originally posted by Fatum:aren't there lots of fobs (fresh off the boats) in the US too ? .....
I'm upset at the way San Diego panders to the Mexicans here. Here you can get by without speaking English. This city is so crowded, so expensive and don't get me started on the rude people/drivers. We have cancelled our plans to buy a home here. The closest Mexican city to mine (Chula Vista) is Tiajuana. Where I live, there are sooooooo many Mexicans they've nicknamed this city Chulajuana.Originally posted by av98m:That I know. My american friends also complain to me about things.
