I have to admit that it did. Even the recovery was very painful. I couldn't laugh, sneeze, use the toilet, sit, lie down, etc without any pain involved. Had to sit on an inflatable ring for about 3 weeks. So bloody uncomfortable. I endured 18 hours with my first child.Originally posted by Fatum:does it scare you off having more children after ....... ?
what if wifey refuses to have more after the first one ? ...

With my second, the contractions came fast and furious a day before my due date. He was born in 4 hours, can you believe it. We were stuck in traffic at Adam Road at 9am and I thought I would give birth in the van. By the time we got to Gleneagles, I was too far into the labour process for any painkillers to be administered. That kind of intense pain is unimaginable.
But as they say, the endorphins kick in and makes you "forget" the pain so that you'll have more kids. That's why after giving birth, my memory's not so good.
9am? That's rush hour at Adam Rd! Esp those days when there was no flyovers!Originally posted by jetta:I have to admit that it did. Even the recovery was very painful. THIRD? What do you think I am, NUTS?!??!?Originally posted by Fatum:*takes note .......
hmmmm ..... so but, say, the third or fourth one, it should be almost like taking a poop then ? ...
I'm aiming for 4 with wifey ...... (at least)Originally posted by jetta:THIRD? What do you think I am, NUTS?!??!?
That time we were stationed in Sg. The damn ang mo duty driver was new to Sg. Had I known the idiot was going to take that route from Sembawang, I would have said something between contractions. I was holding onto the back of the seat in front of me for dear life. I was having contractions every 5 mins for the entire length of the journey. When I got there, the nurses were running like mice. Funny now but not then.Originally posted by sbst275:9am? That's rush hour at Adam Rd! Esp those days when there was no flyovers!
Well, most mums would still have no 2 or 3

Uncle, you want 4 but your wife's doing all the work leh. The hardest part of having kids is not the actual birth but taking care of them. IMHO.Originally posted by Fatum:I'm aiming for 4 with wifey ...... (at least)

Brave woman your wife. Better see what your baby's personality's like first before deciding to have another. I salute her. Even though my two are so mild and even tempered, we only wanted two. Kids are expensive, man!Originally posted by sbst275:Hey hey
She used to say dun want, until down with this baby now... But I dunno why (Maybe's the bb's kicking inside), she tell me one night "Darling, can we have *with finger showing 3* to me"
Too bad, I can feel the bb kicking

Take our story. We both are August babies and we wanted an August child. Got that with our first. With our second, we got cocky (pun not intended ) and he ended up being an Oct baby.
I hear you about pain, blood, needles. I feel the same. *ouch*
Even strong sperm, the wife must be also fertile enough and time is right (Though I always believe just let nature takes its course)..Originally posted by jetta:Friend #2's hubby has strong swimmers for sperm.
