On a related note, I think Singapore will be a much nicer place if they killed off about 2 million of us, preferably starting first with the mainland chinese, to ease the overcrowding and strain on resources. Then perhaps more Singaporeans will consider having children. -

Already our MRT train is packed like sardines and some SBS buses (Though quite a number are still underutilised) Still talk abt 7 million population -

Everytime I take the MRT at about 10pm or later at night, its like being in a foreign country. Packed like sardines with bad-smelling mainland chinese and indians, and having to endure their loud, coarse speech. Very unpleasant.Originally posted by sbst275:Yah, baby talk

On my last 3 visits back, I found Sg to be soooooo crowded. How many more people can our tiny island pack? As it is, courtesy has been sacrificed. I cannot believe how much ruder people have gotten. -

We're at 4+ million now and its already quite bad. We're one of the most densely populated places on this planet. there is a direct correlation between population density and mental health problems/suicide/crime rates. For us, they have been on the rise over the years.
Cannot imagine 7 million really.

I think PSA might be freeing more land up at their older Tanjong Pagar and Keppel Terminal
It's likely they will move most of the operations there in years to come, already major clients are using Pasir Panjang
Anyway, Pasir Panjang there is already reclaimed, so they just need to build the cranes and cemented grounds
But Labordor Park might be destroyed -
