I used to wanna be on Extreme Makeover, but then I realised that in a couple of years time, these participants would have to have touch-up or maintenance plastic surgery done again, and this time round, it won't be free.
Plus, there are always the side effects...
Soooo... I think to be on the safe side, I think I'd prefer Extreme Makeover for the home.

Hmm... I thought part of Debbie Travis' goal was to show folks how they could DIY and improvise, thus the faux marble and faux everything? I guess this is especially so since anything requiring manpower and labour over in the UK is costly, unlike here.Originally posted by choco B:Those Home Makeovers look so great on tv, but I find some of them abit dodgy..
Very few shows actually get designers to go shop for furniture... alot of them are made from scratch, and I think the materials they use are not very sturdy Very knock-down, quick assemble within hours / days .. how study are these?
The worst IMO is the show on Saturday mornings, Debbie Travis Facelifts
On one episode, she had a guy use a piece of wood, and paint it to resemble marble Don't they have the budget for a piece of marble??! Everything they made was a mock-up - fake marble, fake leather bound console, etc .
I mean it's all great and pretty for the big TA-DAH Reveal but use the rooms for a couple of weeks and I think the cracks will show! The antique console is going to just fall apart under weight!
But these shows are entertaining lah, no argument there I'd insist on the good quality home makeover shows with a GENEROUS BUDGET to be on
