Coz McPhee is sooo hot compared to KellieOriginally posted by Rhonda:I'm sure if Penny Lancaster was there, she would have been mad at how Rod Stewart was looking at McPhee during the rehearsals!
This is where the Mandarin music scene has a good way of classification - singers are divided into Ou3 Xiang4 Pai4 (ie. the group you define as 'performers') and Shi2 Li4 Pai4 (ie. talented musicians).Originally posted by the Bear:sometimes star quality sells
guess it never sold me
Fitzgerald was a musician.. these people are performers...
somehow, about 50 years down the line, you'll listen to musicians' music.. it's hard to listen to performances about 50 years later

Two weeks ago, we drove down to Macpherson to eat ngoh hiang but dad made a wrong turn and made a spontaneous executive decision to avoid the traffic jam and head on to Tampines instead.Originally posted by littlestream:Errr..............not that ngor hiang leh. For that specific ngor hiang, yah, I've made them before. But I would rate myself a scale of 5 nia. Peeps say to fry it straight, right? But I find it hard to do it. So, I steam it first before I fry them.

I do have ALL of Ella Fitzgerald's albums btw. Ask me who I want to listen to on my stereo, I'll say its a tie between McPhee and Fitzgerald.
Ask me who i want to watch live, its McPhee 100% of the time!
It's always long queueOriginally posted by Rhonda:Two weeks ago, we drove down to Macpherson to eat ngoh hiang but dad made a wrong turn and made a spontaneous executive decision to avoid the traffic jam and head on to Tampines instead.
Last night, a local program tracing old food stalls to see where they are located now starring Gurmit and Michelle featured this very ngoh hiang stall so I told my parents, "Let's go there for dinner!"
Today, we drove down but omigosh!! Apparently, a lot of folks, having watched that show, had the same idea too! That place had a long queue! We ate something else instead. Siiiiiigh...
Not always. The few other times we ate there before they were featured, there was no queue like the one we saw. There was either no one before us, or just max three peeps before us nia.Originally posted by sbst275:It's always long queue
Even the porridge stall, aft 7pm you have to wait

In fact, the time slot for AI conflicts with the Chinese drama and I was toggling between both. And I recently bought THREE sets of drama.
