Was organising my photo catalogue and thought I'd share this with you. I used to live in Japan and got the chance to play tourist now and again. Here are pics of Kamakura. Enjoy!
Walkway leading to famous Kamakura torii gate, taken during Sakura season, 05.
Famous torii gate.
Buddha in the background.
This is my fave shot of the Buddha.
My student gave me this tin of dove cookies from Kamakura which are my absolute faves. Can't remember the name of the shop. Starts with a T. Must buy if you ever visit Kamakura.
She took me to a famous chocolate shop too. See the many awards on the walls? The rooster below is entirely made out of chocolate!
This is the beloved Enoden in Kamakura. This train shares the street with normal traffic. Cars have to pull off to the side when the Enoden's approaching.
Just one of the many shrines in Kamakura. I just think they're gorgeous.
Hazy view of Fuji-san from inside the Enoden. Was very windy that day.
One of the many shops along Kamakura Ginza. This guy's making rice crackers.
I don't just enjoy viewing scenery, I also like seeing the everyday mundane stuff. This is the inside of a Japanese train. There are many systems and companies, some nicer than others. This is one of the nicer ones.
View of one of the many stations along the Enoden line.
