I felt curiously ashamed because of it sometimes ... some of the chaps I spoke to told me how high school results can be easily faked for a price, as well as ESL scores ... (ESL not neccessary for Singapore students though) ..... and some of them got into grad school and post grad jobs with sterling CVs ... except that they are faked ... and they'll happily tell you so ....Originally posted by Rhonda:This is so disturbing!
It's so sad that now, our region is notorious, just because of a few unethical idiots.

I've talked to a few of these chaps about these issues ... their "defense" is that they came from gigantic societies of around a billion people each ... life is a lot more darwainian, and intensely competitive ... its just a way to get ahead ... to survive ....
a legitimate defense ? ... no comments ... but this kind of ethics is definitely something i won't teach to little fatums .... -

Fatum, av, if they don't see what's wrong about the wrong that they've committed, it's almost an "all hope's lost" situation.
I mean, if there's at least some guilt, it at least shows that they have a conscience! -
