I've got tickets from ballets, F1 races and the Archibishop's ordination, potassium iodide samples, and newspaper clippings in a photo album. Adding things to it slowly...does it count?Originally posted by jetta:Or is it just me? Hoping to find fellow scrappers here.

Anyways, there's a new outlet in Wheelock Place with a fancifully named "Scrapbook University" whatchamacallit. THey sell scrapbooking supplies and embellishments and it's interesting to note that there are local companies who've started manufacturing scrapbook supplies and embellishments too! Very smart and quick!
Not sure if I'll have to time to scrapbook though I'm very interested in it. The next few months will be very busy for me and you know I've already got a special project going on, so see how!
I was shown an American friend's scrapbook when I was there... quite impressed!
And who can forget the really awesome scrapbook in "Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood"? Didcha catch that movie, btw?
Once I own a photo printer thingy, I'll seriously consider scrapbooking... cause then, I can finally print photos from my digicam and do a proper scrapbook! For now, I consider my blog my scrapbook of sorts!
Scrapbooking has evolved into an artform since. (Not implying that you're old. ) I started back in 2000, after resisting invite after invite from my friends. Now, several hundreds of dollars later, I'm knee-deep in this hobby of mine.Originally posted by Ferret:Bad reaction to it due to forced scrap booking during sec school Geog lessons >_<"
Hmmm...Why a scrap book ?
I love to see the lovely supplies for scrapbooking! There's even this A-Page-A-Day calendar sold at Borders where every calendar day is a fanciful page you can tear off and use in your scrapbook. Some days are photo frames for your scrapbook even!Originally posted by jetta:Scrapbooking has evolved into an artform since. I last saw that calendar on sale in Borders two or three years or more ago and it sold out like hot cakes!
Now, I think you lagi won't have the chance to see it sitting on the shelves!
There are scrapbooking mags sold here too! All of them above $10! Cheapest like $12.90, most ex $17.90.

You're doomed. That's all it takes, one modicum of interest. Pai seh to show you some of my efforts from several years ago. My layouts tend to be clean because I don't like too many layers or fussy details. If you visit some scrapping forums, you can see examples of really beautiful layouts. Looking back, sometimes I just want to pull everything off and start over. Nevertheless, here are a couple of pages. Mai cheo hor?Originally posted by Ferret:*coUgh* *coUgh*
I am machiam like dinosaur one. No worries on that score, kekez.

Bittersweet story.Originally posted by ShrodingersCat:I think scrapbooks are lovely but yeah.. very expensive.
I am the opposite of you, I love those that are cluttered and chockful of details with little arrows pointing here and there and scraps of stuff everywhere...
There is a guy who published a very famous scrapbook he did... Hmmm offhand can't remember ANYTHING about it. But he's very young and he's dead. They published the scrapbook postmortem cos through it, it was amazing to see the life he led even though he was not past 30 - many pages on the many countries he's been to, and the people he had met.

I really should though, esp since I have so many unsorted photos all over the place. Will check out the wheelock place shop.
