the milk thing is true.... cos i am much bigger in size compared to my siblings... except the youngest.. she's my size, - 15cm in heightOriginally posted by Rhonda:My mom made sure she drank at least one full cup of full-cream milk and ate lots of veggies and meat when she was pregnant with me. I came out bigger and heavier than was the norm then.
In fact, she said that when she brought me to the polyclinic for my check-up, the nurse put me on the scale, got puzzled by my weight, took me off and started walking towards mom, then she U-turned and weighed me again cause the missy said that it can't be that the baby was that heavy! She told mom that I was the biggest and heaviest baby she had ever seen in my age group.
As if to prove the theory that diet plays a huge part, mom didn't eat as voraciously when she was pregnant with my brother. She didn't even bother to drink that one full cup of full-cream milk everyday.
As a result, my brother's bones aren't as tua-mao (big) as mine! Using the size test, his bones are definitely smaller.
I shoulda been my bro and my bro shoulda been me!

I'm not exactly tiny in builtOriginally posted by Rhonda:shinta, two of us bigger boned peeps will find it tougher in Singapore, land of the wee petites!
BUT, when we grow older and become ah ma's, we will be darn grateful for the big, strong bones because when we trip and fall, our bones won't be that fragile. We'll be thankful for being well-padded and cushioned too when we reach that age!
My colleagues were teasing me cause I had a bad fall last year and had to be on leave for weeks. They all said if I had been skinny and didn't have a big bum to cushion my fall, probably would have fractured the hips too!
awww....aint that sweet...Originally posted by sbst275:I make sure my darling leaves for work with a filled tummy
NO offence but yr baby will have a tanOriginally posted by elindra:I only know my mother followed the age old saying that drinking lots of soymilk will result in a fair baby (this is what all my customers swear by too) Well, I did turn out fair and I can never get a tan . She drank less soymilk for my brother and he is darker than I am, but that's ok because guys look better with a tan

i think all the dairy stuff i ate since young contributed to the bones.Originally posted by elindra:I'm not exactly tiny in built
