I'm also determined to get outdoors more and maybe get into water sports again! That's stuff that I really used to like - swimming, canoeing, dragon-boating, and whilst I don't think there's dragon-boating there, there are other water sports to try! I'm really keen on Jet Skiing and Rowing!
Well, you can put up a post on where to find the best chow and all else and when I log on, I'll take note!

I do look forward to a new life! So much to do, learn, explore! I've come to the realisation that no matter what checklists you have, no matter how well-thought out your packing is, you can never pack 'well'.
I've given up trying to pack 'well'. You know what nincompoop thing I did last night? I got myself into a mini panic! I filled my suitcase with a few items, it was just barely half full, and when I weighed it, I got the shock of my life cause so few items and it's already exceeded the weight limit by more than twice!!
I called out to mom in my panic and guess what, she came, looked, and then laughed and said, "Hey, that's in lbs!!! You have to look at the kgs!!!"
My bimbo moment!
So at first, it was, I don't know what NOT to put inside and then after discovering my error, I don't know what to put inside! -

Guess what? I made a last-minute dash down to Great World City late this morning to get an international adaptor, two luggage locks, The Sims 2 for GBA, three CD's and a few more pendants!
Hopeless, man!! I'm every inch a Singaporean - cause I'm still shopping at the eleventh hour!! -
tell you what.. go make kopi insanely jealous by posting a pic of a souvlaki and a bowl of viet pho
my sis will be there in a couple of weeks but she'll be staying in the 'sua teng'
my folks are going to visit her when she's settled but i've been made to stay home and watch over the house.. which suits me just fine... 2 weeks of the folks not pestering me... sounds like a vacation in itself
again, look after yourself there, learn to drive (very important) and eat a couple of souvlakis for us here -
no no.. a singaporean will buy bak kwa and chilli and then get into an argument with the customs and quarantine people at melbourne airport

imagine a log of marinated lamb on a spit, slowly being roasted with a charcoal fire...
it's cut off the spit into tender and juicy chunks..
added on pita with lettuce, tomato, onion, some herbs, a squeeze of lemon, tzakziki sauce.. rolled up...
good stuff!
