Anger - what heats u up????

I'm not a person that gets angry very easily but... just now got REALLY SO ANGRY until I could feel myself shaking.
What happened was my friend made a joke about 'complaining' to someone's boss basically. It was obviously a joke, relations between my friend and tt person were not so strained until it becomes a real threat.
But that person simply overreacted and started saying that she hates people like this.. and what got me really pissed.. was she said "I can SLAP people like this"
I dont know why but moment I heard this threat of physical violence I started. Then she repeated what she said again and I blew my top. i confronted her and told her she is too much to say something like this and she just kept repeating it. Other friends stepped in and I walked out to stop the matter from escalating.
Really cannot stand it when people make threats. I hate it. I hate anyone who thinks they can threaten me and get away with it. Although this time it didnt happen to me, and friends say its just out of control speech cos of anger i really dont think anger is an excuse to threaten people, especially with physical violence.

there is never an excuse for any physical violence except in self-defence from actual physical violence...
what makes me angry...
i dunno... some things but they are very specific.. and i get into a scary cold burn... which freaks people out...
rarely happens tho'.. i start speaking very slowly and very softly... -
ahh u are the 'cold' anger type huh.... ehh this type very scary all right...
I am the 'hot spark' type.. flares up hot then dies off fast.
But i very very very very rarely get angry like PURELY angry.
err u know wat I mean.. ANGRY ANGRY is different from HURT angry that you get with people you love. -
Hypocrisy...especially superiors who (threaten to) punish you for a mistake, but expect others to cover their arses when they make the same mistake.

Yah I hate bosses with double standards. I had a boss that very smart one.. if YOU make the mistake than YOU will be frequently used to scold YOU. but if he made the mistake.. he will suddenly start using reported objective speech "A mistake had been made"... then no attribute to anyone..... then we know its HIM lah. NB. -
Injustice
Sorry lar, me not Jeremy Bentham or some Rawls guy -
but slow to anger.. quick to forget..
no point holding on to anything like that.. bitterness is pointless.. so are grudges...
as for the bosses, i still think that's how they got to be bosses... tai chi away the blame...
silly people like me go and say "i screwed up... i'll go fix it"

look out the window into the dark night and take a few deep breaths.. really deep ones...
rotate your shoulders a bit, swing your head side to side to stretch out the neck muscles... interlace your fingers and stretch for the ceiling... then stretch forward as you reach forward with your fingers still interlaced...
let gravity pull you down as you bend yourself forward and down, let all the muscles stretch...
stand up, take a few more deep breaths...

and what do you do when you get real angry??
If I am hurtangry with someone I care for, after the shouting and tears, I will go for a long long long fuming walk and usually by the time I come back, matters would be resolved within me liao.
But if I am angryANGRY with someone I don't care for, I find I tend to smoulder, tremble. A bit like volcano cos.. Hmm I don't like confrontations, and normally I don't get angry it is something that reaaly REALLY gets to me. And I usually will confront the person I am angry at. -

sad to say nowadays our society is one that only allows "small people" & "fierce people" to survive
take for example one of my friends, he found out one day that someone was spreading rumors about him, basically it was someone he knew who "specialises"
in starting this kind of stuff. and to make matters worse his wife was getting bullied by this "small person"
what he did was, he went down to confront the guy and told him in the face , whatever happened in the past is passed, and from this moment onwards, if he ever hear anything regardless of whether its real he'll come down to beat the crap out of him.
from the way i saw how things worked out , i believed its better then sitting quietly in a corner and watching things get worse.
but of course its helps if you've been an ah beng and you're well built before you threaten anyone -
well, sometimes the slow cold burn, the quiet veiled threat "you. had better.. stop that.." scares them into submission..
it is not "stooping" or whatever... they know you mean business and they are caught second-guessing what you may do to them.. they know you are serious... what people don't know, scares them even more than threats of certain violence..
